Many who lived in a college town 35 to 40 years ago and then maybe lived in Greenwich village or the Haight etc., went and got married, had kids, moved to the burbs, cause the city didn't give the kids the space. Now the kids are grown and gone and mom and dad don't want to got to arizona, nor do they want to mow the lawn, fix the roof, or shovel the walk! Downtown lofts are too expensive, and they want some of the same things they had before; cafes, music, books, a college or young feel to it...mill buildings in fact! We have a 300,000 square foot building that fits the bill! In Williamsport Pa. Three hours from NYC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and D.C., Four hours to Pittsburgh, great town and surrounded by wilderness too! The live work concept in New York and Los Angeles has now advanced to many other cities around the country. Hollywood say the opening of the Cosmo Lofts in 2005 and last year Westmorelan Lofts opened in Silver Lake. Recently a new creative community, Lacy Studio Lofts opened just north of downtown LA. While the market has shifted from a pure artist environment, these properties specifically cater to the entertainment industry and the arts.
